Ghosts Opening Cabinets In Middle of Night

Thursday, October 16, 2008, 5:30 a.m.

Courtney and I were visiting the soldier spirits on the battlefield when she related the following events that took place in today's early morning hours:

Courtney walked into the breakfast room to prepare the coffee for the guests' breakfast service.  As soon as she approached the antique cabinets located in the rear of the room, she noticed that the doors were open on two of the cabinets.

All of the cabinets have wooden latches that lock and keep the doors closed.  Courtney noticed that the latches were turned, unlocked and the doors were open.  The last time Courtney was in the breakfast room was at 1:30 a.m. when she was getting some coffee for herself.  At that time, the locks were securely in place and the cabinet doors were closed.

No guests had entered that area since the entire building, which comprises the lobby, inner office, breakfast prep room, laundry room and breakfast area, is closed at midnight.

This is a common occurrence and Courtney and I have both tried to re-create the latches unlocking by themselves to no avail.  The latches have to physically be unlocked to get the cabinet doors to open.
