As I always do after completing the audit at midnight and everything has finally settled down, I was sitting in the inner office reading. I started to hear someone walking around the breakfast room and in the lobby. It sounded like the person walking around was wearing heavy boots. This went on for many minutes.
Several times I jumped up to investigate, but the sounds stopped as soon as I walked into the lobby and then into the breakfast room.
Note: There was a marked difference in the air temperature in these two rooms from the room I was previously sitting in. It was icy cold in the lobby and the breakfast room.
